Terry County also boasts salt, is near to multiple sulphur-natural gas resources, and has an abundance of caliche.
A short distance east can be found plenty of gypsum, to the southeast are dimensional limestone deposits, and southwest dimensional sandstone.
In the northern part of the Texas Panhandle region can be found lime and helium.

In 1937, a discovery of rare meteorites was made near Brownfield, Texas.
The H3.7 chondrite meteorite contains Al, Ca, Cr, Cu, Fe, H, Mg, Ni, O, S, Si, Ti.
By 1971, only an estimated 30% of the meteorite had been recovered.
This included the second-largest meteorite ever found of this subtype.
Renewable Resources Near Brownfield, Texas

Brownfield and Terry County, Texas boast an abundance of renewable resources. Agriculture is strong and besides the traditional crops, Terry County has become the official Grape Capital of the state. The most common renewable resources produced are:
